Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

THE AUTHOR
Benjamin George always liked ideas and words.
One day, it dawned on him that some ideas were far better than others. Thus began the long and satisfying project of searching for the world’s best ideas and trying to put them into words.
Some of the best ideas were hidden in strange and foreign places, though. So Benjamin went off to various cities, villages, communities and farms - some far-flung and some closer to home - looking for inspiration. He saw beautiful things, met crazy pioneers, lived through difficult experiences, and made some wonderful memories.
These adventures created an alternative world in the author's heart, which needed to be expressed. A fiction story seemed the right way to do it, and that is how the Arqensia Trilogy was born.
Benjamin George grew up in Bristol, UK, and still spends lots of time there.
He is married to the wonderful Pauline and they have a son and a daughter.
They love people, stories, gardens, and time around the table.
THE TRILOGY
The Arqensia Trilogy follows young Klay on his epic quest for the truth, from his grandfather's attic to the far corners of planet Arqensia.
He can barely believe that he, accompanied by his best friend Refi, is the one being chosen to uncover his planet's best-kept secrets. What he finds will not only shock him to the core, but change him - and many others - forever.
This coming-of-age story has been called "a wholesome, gripping and beautiful adventure" as well as "a truly astonishing debut novel."
-
There are a wide range of themes explored in the Arqensia Trilogy: truth, beauty, adventure, family legacy, friendship, adventure, freedom, power, good vs. evil, and more. I set out to write a book that can function just as easily on a deep level as it can on a shallow level. It is deep and meaningful, but also a fun page-turner.
The book was not written for a specific age range, and I have had encouragements from people aged 8-80, but it does seem most appropriate for teens and young adults.
There is no bad language in the book and there are no explicit or particularly graphic descriptions. Some scenes could be a bit scary for young children but overall it's a very wholesome story.

THE TEAM
You can't publish a book all on your own. Not a good one, anyway!
I am hugely grateful to these wonderful people:
> My lovely wife Pauline who gives me advice so good I can't believe it's not professional, and also helps out with admin
> Steve Carter, my fantastic editor who has been so generous with his time and skill, and has massively enhanced the story
> Lucie Desmets, the brilliant artist who has painted two magnificent book covers
> My dedicated proof-reader Abi whose skill and wisdom is adding value to the story.
Big thanks also goes to those who read the book and offered commendations before its release, as well as anyone who has taken the time to give me encouraging feedback about my books.
